![]() “We had a room full of those images and from there, we had a visual reading of the story. Bayona noted how the landscape in the books “reflects the mood of the story and the characters.” “I remember one of the exercises that I did is I sat down with a couple of artists and I did one pass on the script, every single scene, and we created a visual image and made that scene specific,” he reveals. The establishing shots for every kingdom are vast landscapes, giving viewers a sense of the massive scale of the space before zeroing in on the characters.
